⏳ How long do I wait to find out where I’m going?

You’ll receive your destination via email 24 hours before kickoff . 

🚫 Can I avoid going to a specific club?

Yes — during booking, you can tell us which club(s) you’d prefer to avoid at checkout. add the clubs you wish to avoid into 'Order special instructions' and we’ll make sure your trip stays enjoyable and within your preferences.

🗺️ What do I do once I get there?

We’ll provide a matchday itinerary with suggestions on where to go before and after kickoff — from pubs to food spots to local points of interest.
At the ground, simply:

  • Show your ticket to the turnstile staff
  • Collect your wristband from the turnstile 
  • Present your wristband at the bar to claim your drink
  • Collect your memorabilia and enjoy the day

⚙️ How does it work?

You choose:

  • The city you want to travel from
  • How far you're willing to go
  • Whether you need public transport access

We then:

  • Randomly assign your tickets to a local non-league fixture
  • Include a drink and club memorabilia 
  • Send a tailored itinerary to guide your day
  • Deliver everything 24 hours before kickoff 

👨👧 Can I bring children?

Absolutely! Some clubs even allow children in for free. Just email us at admin@grassrootsgetaways.com with your child’s age and we’ll tailor the trip accordingly. Alternatively, book the experience for yourself & pay on the gates for your children.   

🐕 Can I bring my dog?

Yes, many non-league grounds are dog-friendly. Just let us know in the 'Order special instructions' box at checkout and we’ll do our best to send you somewhere suitable for furry companions.

🔁 Can I change or cancel my booking?

We can't offer refunds, but if you need to reschedule, email us at admin@grassrootsgetaways.com with at least 7 days’ notice. We assign tickets as standard a week before the fixture, so we need enough time to make changes.

📆 How far in advance do I need to book?

You can book right up to 48 hours before kickoff. We finalise tickets and prep your itinerary the week of the match, then reveal your destination the day before.

🔄 Can I change clubs once I find out where I’m going?

No — once your club is revealed, your tickets are already secured and paid for. That’s all part of the adventure!

🧭 How far will I have to travel?

We always try to keep your journey within 1 hour of your chosen city centre, whether by car or public transport. While not guaranteed, we’ll stay as close as we can.

🌧️ What happens if my game is postponed or cancelled?

If your fixture is called off, we’ll call you personally to offer two options:

  1. A refund, or

  2. A replacement ticket for another match still going ahead

The choice is always yours.
